• Chad Beal: Dedicated to Teaching Self Defense

  • This December, we want to give a shout out to Chad Beal, IKMF instructor in Springfield, Missouri for his dedicated efforts to teaching self-defense. Chad Beal has been an IKMF Instructor for several years now, and this year he went above and beyond sharing detailed instructions on how to defend yourself in real-life situations.

Let's take a look at some of the newest training articles:

  • What You Need to Know About Rape

In his latest production, Chad Beal, IKMF instructor in Springfield Missouri at Inside Defense Krav Maga takes on one of the most personal and terrifying experiences that a person can go through in, "What You Need to Know About Rape." During this video instruction, Chad and his wife take us through a potential rape situation, getting inside the mind of a rapist, as well as how to use their narrow-minded intent against them.

    This video includes:

    • Understanding the nature of the attack
    • How to manage and move powerfully in normal restrictive clothing
    • Effective self-defense techniques to quickly disable and escape the situation
  • Active Shooter Training: Run, Hide, Fight!

This training might sound obvious, but being in an active shooter situation is entirely different when you're actually in it. It's easy to second guess or say from the comfort of your comfortable seat that you would know what to do and how to protect yourself and possibly others during an immediate threat from an active shooter. In truth, most people freeze up or panic during life-and-death scenario.

Chad Beal, however breaks it down to three simple points to focus on because in the dangerous moments, this will most likely be all most individuals are able to remember. These 3 points are:

    1. Run - You must always run first if you can
    2. Hide - Hide behind something that can stop or at least slow the bullet
    3. Fight - Maybe the most important thing to be able to do in an active shooter situation is to be able to fight. While obviously not ideal, you might not have a choice and this could save lives. Yours and others.
